About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah. I love to bake. I started baking primarily cupcakes, but I’ve been branching out more. I love all things sweet.

I started this blog in the summer of 2011. I decided that while having a full time job, I would bake a different batch of cupcakes every week. I needed a way to keep track of the recipes I tried. As of now, I get these recipes from books and blogs. I sometimes make small changes- but I’m typically a recipe follower. I don’t pretend to be a recipe developer. I also post where the recipe came from at the end of that specific blog post.

I graduated from University of Wisconsin- Stout in 2013 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies (with a concentration in Child and Family Support Services) and a minor in Speech Communication. I’m currently working in my field- so no complaints.

I’m a cookbook hoarder with a recipe index and I have a thing for small appliances. My kitchen is my favorite room to shop for and mine is dessert themed. When I step outside of the kitchen, I love to read and bike ride. Sometimes I play tennis and pretend I know what I’m doing. And I dance. I did swing dance in college and have a love of aerials (those fun lifts and tricks when the girl is thrown around..with grace).

In October 2016, I became a wife to a guy named Josh. I’m also a dog mom to a rescued Australian Shepherd/Border Collie named Milo (who is a lap dog hiding inside a 48lb body). They are my boys. Josh is my taste tester and Milo watches the food prep while laying on the floor in front of the oven.

Since college, I have lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. I’m now trying to find my place in the middle of the Cornhusker fields. I am also pretty sure I have a gypsy spirit. I constantly have the desire to move and grow. Which Josh swears I never told him- maybe it’s because he didn’t ask.

I’m so glad you came to check out my blog! Feel free to stay awhile!
